Ballinspittle County Cork is situated 10 km
of Kinsale on R600. Each year in July they hold the Ballinspittle
Festival a fun day out in West Cork for the family with novelty
races, fancy dress, sports events and live music it proves very
popular each year.
As you enter the village of Ballinspittle you will pass its Grotto
which had thousands of people visiting it, in the 1980's due to
some people who claimed to have seen the statue moving and bus
loads of people came to pray at the Grotto. So stop off and visit
the Grotto and maybe say a prayer.
You can also enjoy
some great food in the local Bar and Cafe and after take a
walk in the Ballinspittle/Garrettstown Woods and enjoy the
waymarked trail, you can enjoy some great views on the elevated
sites out over the Atlantic Ocean and the Old Head of Kinsale.
