 Glen Country House provides Bed & Breakfast accommodation near Kinsale which is situated in one of the most scenic locations in West Cork, overlooking Courtmacsherry Bay with views of The Atlantic Ocean. The house was built in 1860 on a much older site, hence the impressive avenue that approaches the house and old stone out buildings that surround the yard. The house and garden are surrounded by mature hardwood trees in a parkland setting which sweeps down to the sea and is all part of a 300 acre working farm.  We are 35 minutes from Cork Airport and the Ferry Terminal at Ringaskiddy, and less than an hour's drive from the City of Cork. Such localities as Glandore, Baltimore, Bantry, Glengarriff make an ideal day excursion. For those who enjoy really good food the area offers many excellent restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets (see our restaurants page). The gourmet centre of Ireland, Kinsale is just a 30 minute drive.

This is a family run Bed and Breakfast and working farm, which has been in the Fielding family for more then five generations. This is a very quite and tranquil area with only the birds, sea and cows to hear. The house sits on an elevated site up a driveway off the R600 road (The main route for visitors to South West Ireland) and approximately 15 minutes drive from the Historic town of Kinsale, with archaeological sites to visit such as Charles Fort, James Fort, St. Multose and Desmond Castle. Kinsale is known as the gourmet capital of Ireland has many fine restaurants to offer.
