Glengarriff is an ideal area for families holidaying in Ireland explore Glengarriff village, take the ferry out to see Garnish Ilnacullin Island and you might some see some seals on the boat trip over.

Enjoy the gardens on Ilnacullin (Garnish) Island, where you will see some unusual tropical plants and shrubs and beautiful flowering plants. Glengarriff in West Cork is a stunning place to enjoy some cycling or some of the many walking routes from Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve to many of the marked walks around Glengarriff including walking Derreenboy, Derrograne, O'Learys Point and Lady Bantrys Lookout and of course the well know Beara Way.

Bantry is just a 20 minute drive from Glengarriff so take some time to enjoy exploring Bantry town and visiting Bantry House  and Bantrys Walking Routes, Beicin Loop, Lady's Well and Vaughan Pass. Glengarriff is also just a 50 minute drive to the fishing village of Castletownbere or 34 minutes to Kenmare in Co Kerry, so you will not be short of things to see and do in Glengarriff and the surrounding area in West Cork.
