My ancestory dates back to Ireland to before the times of King Brian of Boru. There are a great many decendants scattered all over the world today from my surname, "Lomasney". I have found this site, "Cork-Guide" to be my favorite place to be on the internet. I read everything posted and every place mentioned. Inside of me, I feel connected to all Irish people and Ireland. One day, I will live out the rest of my life there. I hope I live long enough to come to my home. Everyone may visit my current home at this address. "http://www.geocities.com/jimlinpa/". Thanks to the people who work hard at making "Cork-Guide" one of the best internet places on Earth. Sincerely, Mr. James Timothy Lomasney, Jr.

I have playing at the Kinsale Jazz Festival for a number of years and my band, Little Sister, are always assured of a warm welcome. The range of food available in the town has to be experienced to be believed! The stout is excellent everywhere but my band admit to favouring Mary's Tap Bar and the Greyhound!

I just think the name "Skibbereen" is so IRISH!! I have never been to Ireland (YET) and will plan on visiting your beautiful town when I do. My ancestors (Doyle's and Burke's) emigrated here beginning in the mid 1800's (the Doyle side) and just at the turn of the century (the Burke side.

Dear Cork-Guide Users:

My husband is stationed on the United States Coast Guard Cutter Barque Eagle, America's Tall Ship. In May 2001, the Eagle will be visiting Cork. I am hoping to fly to Ireland, so that we can enjoy Cork together.

I visited Cork-Guide in hopes of finding information about where to stay in Cork, where to eat, etc. There is so much here! I am hoping that some of you will be good enough to give me some guidance. :-)

Thanks so much in advance. Ylice M. Crimmins-Golden ylice@aol.com

I have recently discovered that my GGGGG Grandfather came from County Cork. His name was Michael Shan O'Rilley and he came to Culpepper County, Virginia in 1779 at the age of 19 years. I am not sure what town he was from in County Cork.I am planning a trip to Ireland in 2001 and hope to locate the area of his birth. I am just beginning the research on this relative and would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you, Charlotte Riley Buren.
