Our family who hails from County Mayo has a fruitcake that has been passed down for years. It was made by the FH Thompson & Son LTD in Cork, Ireland. I was wondering if this company is still in business, and if anybody knows of a way for me to contact them to try and put a date on this piece of history. Thank you

Hello...We are to marry in Glen Garriff in May of 2002, and we are having problems finding a Limousine/car service, a photographer service, and a bakery near or around Glengarriff who would be able to provide services for our wedding in Gougganne Barra. Any info?

I stayed in Youghal in '96 and I still reminisce about it. I want to go back and stay in the wonderful B7B I stayed in. I cant remember the name of it, but it had a gorgeous view of the ocean and the lady made the best soda bread!

My grandmother was Margret Flynn born in Cork county. Not sure what city. She married Richard Nicol from Aberdeen Scotland and they immigrated to Toronto Onterio around 1910. If this sounds familiar to any Flynn family member please contact me.

Your site is lovely. I have run across it in doing research about my late Mother's 1986 trip to Ireland. I was wondering if anyone local who might read this might be able to answer a question about a waterfall and a 12th century mill near Bantry. In her journal my Mom said she walked a bit away from her B&B and came upon the mill and waterfall, of which I have a picture of the waterfall. Any hints or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to identify all photos of Mom's. Email me at zengirl41@yahoo.com Thanks in advance!

My family and I lived in Carrigaline from 1952-1953. It was a good place to live. We had the public house called Wine Vaults which belonged to Canty's before us. I would like to hear any news of Carrigaline as I have no contacts there now. All the best to you all. Theresa Salmon
