We have just spent a week in Bantry,(19th to 26th Jan 2002) and although the weather was a bit rough at times, it didn't spoil our holiday at all. The people of Bantry were very friendly and extremely pleasant. The scenery was spectacular, the food was so good we ate far too much, especially at 'The Snug'-Bantry. We will definetly be returning again & again.

My name is Annie Moore, it is the truth. I want to open a pub in Shelbyville Kentucky USA named "Annie Moore's". I knew there was a statue somewhere in the world, although I thought it was in New York and I knew that she was the first Irish immigrant to enter Ellis Island. I just had no idea I could find her, but I did, thanks to the internet. I will be coming to Ireland this summer to research pubs and I will visit your town and the statue.

Dear Sir/Madam,
my name is Lynda O' Riordan and I run a recruitment agency in Berlin. We specialize in sourcing German professionals for the Irish market. Since we place a considerable number of people with Cork-based companies such as RCI, Apple, Siemens, and The Merchants Group, we plan to include your wonderful site as a useful link for candidates relocating to Cork. We would, of course, be very grateful if you would reciprocate with a link to www.careermoves-irland.de. Apart from providing jobs for Germans and Swiss nationals, we also help them to find accommodation, and generally prepare them for living in Ireland. We look forward to hearing from you!
Best regards

And with this entry I hope to improve on an Email just sent, I missed
one point I wanted to mention. I am so glad to find an Internet mention of
the town I knew so well as a boy. My family lived in Upper Bluepool at the
end of the lane. I have many happy memories of everything there, from
Castle lemonade to playing down on the river near the market place. I have
in my possesion the old school clock from the village school, which my
father went to till he was 13. I am a singer songwriter and needed
something to jog my memory on how to spell the the names of the rivers
Allow and Dalua.
