Hello there, can anyone help me in my search. Am loking for
names and locations of orphanages/ childrens homes that
existed in Co Cork in the 1920s. My mothers two brothers were
put into one near Charleville in 1925, as my mother was a baby
she does not know the name.
if your from the Ahern or Barry families from around the
Charleville area, we may be related, especially if your
grandfathers (would be in their 80s now) were those two boys
and their parents were patrick and Frances Ahern (nee Barry).
My mother, Mary, is still alive and would love to hear any
news on her brothers. thanks Anne Thompson

Hi, I went to the Celtic ross hotel with my school, on a
rugby tour, we also went to the Royal George Hotel in
Limerick, it was the best holiday of my life! If any one has
any pictures of Limerick or Rosscarbery I'd be most grateful
if you could send them to me in an e-mail....

My grandfather Jeremiah J. Buckley was from Dunmanway,
County Cork, born 1893. Father John, Mother Mary, siblings
Francis, Timothy, John, Margaret, Ellen (White). Would anyone
be familiar with this family tree. Niece Mary White O'Connor
lives in Cloyne. I have visited Ireland and have since become
a citizen of Ireland. Can anyone help? Thanks, Peggy

Re Kinsale. Please check your telephone numbers. When I
looked up on the website the telephone number of pubs in
Kinsale - the 4 is missing off the front of every one! The
numbers start with 77 and not 477

Hello, There is no country more beautiful than Ireland! I
have never had the honour of visiting Cork-the most beautiful
place in the world-but I hope to soon. I am in the process of
trying to sell off everything I own so that I may visit. How
lucky & blessed are those who live there!
