I am trying to research my family on my mothers side, i am
looking for an information on the lynch family from Dripsey
County Cork. My grandfather was Thomas Michael Lynch born in
1915 in the village, he was known as tommy. His father was
Patrick Lynch who was at one point a gardner. He had a large
family including Larry, Bridie and Ada amongst others. If
anyone has any information id be very grateful. Please contact
me at sue_mellon@hotmail.com

I had the pleasure of staying in your town in March 2003 -
I was researching my Irish grandparents who were married in
Fermoy on 26 January 1885, they were James Andrew McGrane,
then a soldier with the Connaught Rangers, and Ellen O'Keeffe,
then employed as a servant in the town, I found my g/m's
relatives in Newmarket CO.Cork, from where she came, my g/f
came from St Mary's parish Drogheda, CO. Meath. However,
although it turned out that there was no direct family
connection with Fermoy, I did enjoy my stay there. I stayed at
St Anne's B&B - My hostess was a very welcoming and
hospitable person - it was a pleasure to stay in such a
delightful atmosphere and I will always retain fond memories
of your town.
