Hello Cork! I miss you! I lived two month in Midleton last year and spent a lot of time in Cork. During my stay I fell in love with Ireland, now I spend a lot of time in our local irish pub listening to live irish music. I will come back and visit you once.

My family's roots are in Mitchelstown. Walsh, Condon, Tobin & Macassey & McGraths! We will be there in Septemeber. We'd love to visit anyone who knew (knows) this group! Hello, I rescently was advised that I may be traveling to the Village of Macroom, County Cork. My genealogy, I believe, originated in County Cork. I studied philosophy and Italian at UCC from 1956 to 1959. Three wonderful years. I loved living in Cork, and found so many friends there. I enjoyed studying and the social life was terrific. I was back in Cork for a couple of days in 1990 and the city was bright and lively, more crowded than it was in the 1950s. But still, walking down Magazine Road I felt that if I blinked I might find myself back in those days when I walked that way into down in my old yellow duffel coat. My name was Christine Maple then. I think that in your page where it has all the events listed that when you click on one of the towns ie. Millstreet then you should give a list of accomodations in the local area. I found it very difficult to find accomodation when I wanted to go and attend the horse show. Thank You

Am just trying to find out something about Gougane Barra as I think this is where my Grandmother came from. She was Dora Healy born 3/17/1865. My understanding is she came from a large family but was disowned when she married my grandfather in Warren, Massachusetts, USA in 1885.

Great site, I'm from Castletownroche,but have lived in Canada for the last 20yrs. I go back fairly regularly to visit my family.
