I have been to Kinsale on several occasions and just love it, and have recommended to
touring Australians that they include it on their list of destinations. NOW I NEED YOUR
HELP. Today is Friday, 12 February and I have just agreed to give an illustrated talk
(with slides) to Rotary here in Melbourne next Thursday 18 Feb. What I need desperately is
some data, economic, visitor numbers, population growth since the transformation of
Kinsale took place some 20 years ago with the formation of the Marketing/Promotions
Committee. My talk will be entitled "The Transformation of Kinsale". Thanks,

Great web-site. I am the granddaughter of Joseph Roycroft of Dreenlomane, Ballydehob,
Co. Cork. He had a brother Jack that immigrated to New York and sisters Hettie (McIntyre)
and Fannie (Abrey) that immigrated to Canada (probably around the turn of the century).
Would like to hear from their decendants.

I am going to stay outside Macroom for half a year, working as a volunteer. Normally I
live in Stockholm, Sweden and it would be nice to get contact with someone living in this
area since I know noone. I am also interested in if there are a orienteering club in the

Very nice web site!! I was in Cork in March 98 and was struck by the beauty of the city
and the surrounding area. I am in the Canadian Navy and only stayed for three days but
those three days are now some of my most cherished memories of a twenty five year career.
So much so that I intend to bring my wife to Ireland for our twenty fifth wedding
anniversary in 2000. I hope to be able to visit the south of Ireland with her then.
All the best and congratulations on a wonderful and most informative site.

I just traced my family's origin to County Cork and wanted to see more by visiting this
site. My great grandfather was Michael James Kelleher who was married to Hanna Busteed.
They moved to St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Both were born in 1838. They had 8 children. Four
were born in Ireland and the rest were born in St. Louis. They were Michael James b.1863,
Thomas P. b.1864, John (Jack)b. 1866, Timothy b. 1869, all born in Ireland and supposedly
lived in Cork on Blarney Street. The children born in St. Louis were Johanna b.1874,
George Joseph b. 1876, Elizabeth (Lizzie) b. 1878 and Mary b. 1881. George Joseph was my
grandfather. This is all I know of my Irish heritage but if anyone visiting knows more
please email me. I'd love to meet any ong lost relatives out there. Douglas Kelleher

I spent the summer in Spain and traveled all around Europe and it's borders. What I
loved most was traveling through Ireland and seeing the beauty and kindness of
Blarney/Cork homeland, history and its people. I have many fond memories of Ireland and
some beautiful pictures of those memories, especially of the Blarney Castle. I am planning
to visit again sometime, hopefully on my honeymoon. Thanks for a wonderful and enjoyable
trip to see your land and mingle with the people. I am of Irish desent. My father's side
comes from County Down, Down Parrish. I hope to do more genealogical research on the next
trip. Shelly Keenan

Pleasantly surprised to locate this web page since my Kent/Mahony/McCarthy families
