The Courtyard Gallery, Midleton, NOW CLOSED was located in Midleton town centre in a beautifully restored stone building which houses two light-filled galleries, with regularly changing exhibitions. A wide diversity of art work was shown, ranging from pieces by established and nationally renowned artists to dynamic creations from newly-graduated and emerging artists. Originally established as an exhibition centre in 2000 by Maighread Hyde, the baton was passed in 2005 to Anne Ahern, its then manager, and Sue van Coppenhagen, a local artist. Anne and Sue formed Courtyard Arts Limited in 2005 and expanded the gallery's capacity to include two exhibition showrooms.
