peninsula. Picturesque peaceful setting overlooking harbour and
Dunmanus Bay. Magnificent sea and mountain scenery. Swimming,
fishing and boating within ten minutes walk, scenic walks and mountain climbing.

Joe and Agnes Hegarty welcome you to their beautifully restored
two storey traditional Irish farmhouse of six generations in
Ahakista, Durrus in Bantry. It retains the original character
with stone walls, open beams and slate floor. Open stone built
fireplace with firewood and peat supplied. Traditional wall
lighting, Satellite TV, free WI-FI. selection of books from
local authors plus variety of children’s books.
Cosy and warm atmosphere with some antique furnishings plus all
modern comforts. There are three spacious en-suite bedrooms with
power showers( sleep 7), Electric blankets, clock radios, hair
dryers, toiletries etc. Linen and towels supplied free.
Tastefully decorated throughout. Sea view from all rooms. A
patio with outside seating, table and umbrella is located at
front of the house where you have the most magnificent view over
Ahakista Harbour and across Dunmanus Bay to Mizen Head
Peninsula . A barbeque is also provided for the guests.
Hillcrest Farmhouse Holiday Home has achieved many awards of
excellence since its restoration in 1990. Since then it has been
approved by Failte Ireland ( Irish Tourist Board).

free range eggs to start off your stay. We will be there to show
