Garryvoe is very popular for weddings, with this beautiful beach setting it is the ideal venue and nearby is the Garryvoe Hotel with views out over the beach. The area also has a small little local shop which has nearly every item you could wish to purchase at this seaside area in Garryvoe from ice cream cones, home baking, home made jams, tea and coffee to take away, and hot food, wine and a range of deli foods including local cheeses.
Shanagarry is only a minutes drive and its beautiful beach area of Ardnahinch which connects over to Garryvoe Beach and allows you to walk the whole lot together and for the daring who don't mind bare foot in the water you can walk through a little stream and onto the beach at Ballynamona.
