Cork and its surrounding areas have played host to the Film Industry for a number of movies such as Moby Dick starring Gregory Peck, The Wind That Shakes The Barley starring Cillian Murphy, War of the Buttons, Ondine with Colin Farrell filmed off Castletownbere, and filming of Divine Rapture with the late Marlon Brandon started in Ballycotton but unfortunately due to bankruptcy the film did not get complete.
